Review Panasonic Home Monitoring System

When I received the Panasonic Home Monitoring System, hubby and I were pretty excited. Sure it’s great to get a visual of your house when you’re traveling. But we’re lucky. We’ve lived in our neighborhood almost 18 years, and our neighbors are vigilant about watching out for each other. But having that extra visual security with a click of the smart phone is priceless.

Koh Samui in the Gulf of Thailand is a tropical paradise with a spectacular sunset.

Say Ah to Thai Spas in Ko Samui, Thailand

Located in the Gulf of Thailand, Ko Samui’s inland is still awe-inspiring with its rugged jungle draped inland.  Banking on its reputation as a holiday destination for relaxation, Samui is now as popular as Phuket, offering more than 80 spa resorts (and counting), plenty of reasons to say ah to Thai Spas in Ko Samui, Thailand.

Luggage Review: Ricardo Elite Roxbury 2.0 Spinner

Oh the endless search for the perfect carry-on bag. I’ve been mostly content with my spinner Samsonite luggage set, a Christmas present from my daughter a couple of years ago. However, I’m always searching for the really perfect suitcase. The carry-on  luggage that rolls away from the competition. The one that perfectly fits everything you need for a long weekend getaway without getting the evil eye from the airline stewards.  Then ta-dah, just like that, I was given the opportunity to review the Ricardo Beverly Hills Elite Roxbury 2.0 Spinner.  And you know they had me at spinner.

Grandkids, Walt Disney World & Panasonic HX-A100 Wearable Camera

Bring the grandkids to Walt Disney World — for the first time. Give them a quick lesson on how to use the  Panasonic HX-A500 wearable video camera. Push the little grand “birdies” out of the nest and let them capture video. Yes, I’m tagging along with them, because I too love Disney theme parks and rides. Now all you have to do is watch the YouTube video. Now go.

Driving Etiquette in Shanghai, China

China has one of the highest rates of automobile accidents in the world, with an estimated 100,000 people killed on the road in this country.  After just 24 hours in Shanghai (escorted by Mandarin Journeys), I quickly learned a red light does not mean stop in Shanghai, what I began to call the “Shanghai Stop.”  Everyone is in a hurry, more so when behind the wheel of a car, and I cringed at how many near accidents happened in front of us. Welcome to Driving Etiquette in Shanghai.

Masters of Tai Chi, Tai Hi, China

In an ancient courtyard in China at the Tai Hi Home, two masters of Tai Chi taught our group of 5 women the fluid artist movements of Tai Chi. Mandarin Journeys hosted this inspirational morning, while we watched in quiet respect of these two masterful masters of Tai Chi.

One of our many #BucketListChina experiences, riding in a vintage motorcycle sidecar in Shanghai with our hosts Mandarin Journeys.

Experience Shanghai, China: Riding Vintage Motorcycle SideCar

Riding with the top down, whether it’s a Mustang convertible or on a motorcycle, is one of my favorite ways to experience a city.  But a Vintage motorcycle sidecar? That’s one to top the bucket list, and exploring the busy city of Shanghai , China, riding a vintage motorcycle sidecar, well, totally priceless, and how I began my journey embracing the culture of China.

Every kid loves a theme park, right? Add LEGOLAND California to your next family vacation.

Legoland California Driving School

You don’t have to be 16 to enroll in Legoland California Driving School. My Grandkids (ages 9 and 7) strapped on their seatbelt and got behind the wheel of a real electric car where everyone can learn about signaling, turning, stopping and going.
