As a seasoned traveler, you may not get the same thrill out of camping, roughing it out backpacking or staying in budget hotels that you used to get all those years ago. Hotels for Seasoned Travelers
Who doesn’t like the idea of having a clean room and bed made every day? A place to relax, enjoy leisurely breakfasts or enjoying a swim in plush surroundings? This is where an upmarket hotel can really make your vacation.
For example, the Shergill Grand Hotel Conference Center Resort in Florida takes care of all those needs. Your accommodations are spacious and surrounded by comfort and style. this Winter Haven hotel is the perfect setting for business travelers, and for those traveling with their families – say hello to LEGOLAND!
And let’s talk about their rooms. Ooh-la-la! King size bed with jacuzzi and a fully-equipped kitchen! Maybe this is better as a romantic vacation, right?
Even with trendy self-catering hotels or budget hotels, many seasoned travelers prefer to book upscale hotels for their family vacation as a chance to enjoy some of the finer things in life.
Home Away from Home: Apartments and Villas
Seasoned travelers can discover amazing accommodation online by considering staying in apartments, vacation homes, and villas. The competition is fierce and you are bound to discover some amazing self-catering accommodation. These options suit a solo traveler or people traveling in larger parties. I’ve seen villas accommodating twenty or more people available in popular resorts, so there is something for everyone.
Editor’s Note: Multigenerational Family Vacation Homes
I totally agree with this writer! Vacation homes are perfect solutions of where to stay for seasoned travelers. Especially when you still want all the amazing amenities, without the hassles and expense of staying in a hotel and dining out all the time!.
And for my recent multigenerational family vacation to Oregon’s Mt. Hood Territory, a hotel room just wouldn’t work for the eight of us. A local vacation home rental agency, Mt. Hood Vacation Rental, provided an amazing rental house with plenty of room to spread out. It gave our three merged multigenerational families time together, yet also space (and bedrooms) to spread out.
Resorts Cater to Your Needs
Sometimes you have your own needs that you want catered for when going on vacation, and who can blame you? You may want to stay in a resort that caters for people over the age of fifty. Enabling you to mix with like-minded souls and perhaps make some new friends or companions along the way.
While children are always a blessing, you may want to choose a quieter hotel or resort to spend your vacation and stay in an adult only resort.
If your business or vacation travels take you to Ireland, you might choose a luxury castle resort like the Dromoland Castle Hotel, where you’re guaranteed to be pampered.
Or perhaps you’re taking your family on a business trip and plan to take the family for a vacation too. A luxury resort, such as The Broadmoor, in Colorado Springs, would fit the needs of both your business obligations and your family vacation.
Seasoned Travelers 💖 Unique Boutique Hotels
Finally, you may want to try out a boutique hotel. Often these only have a select few rooms but tend to have some form of theme or grandeur about them.
For example, heading to Europe and the Greek island of Santorini could see you staying in cave-like rooms with breathtaking views of the sea.
Even an over-the-water villa in luxurious places like The Maldives. A simple search online will highlight some of the most amazing options at your fingertips.
Choose to stay in castles and chateaus all over the world. City hotels also offer unique boutique hotels, such as the ART, a Hotel: Downtown Denver.
I hope that this has inspired you to consider some of the accommodation options available to you.
