Recently I was lucky to get a preview of the new Crawford Hotel in Denver’s renovated Union Station. The 112-room Crawford Hotel opened in July 2014 in the heart of Denver’s Lower Downtown neighborhood.
Preview of the Crawford Hotel in Denver Union Station
Step inside the historic Denver Union Station and be prepared to say WOW! Start with the elegant and artfully restored train station “waiting area” transformed into the boutique Crawford Hotel’s lobby — the “Great Hall.” The stately Denver Union Station Great Hall features soaring 65-foot ceilings.
Sit back and lounge in the living room style Great Hall, although the energy is high with the hub of activity at the Terminal Bar, which features 30 Colorado craft brews on tap. Even more cool is the “windows” into the Terminal Bar are the restored train ticket windows. The stately Grand Hall is also home to 12 more unique Colorado restaurants and retailers — including Stoic and Genuine, courtesy of one of my favorite chef/owner’s Beth Grutich.
There’s so much to love with this luxury hotel experience beginning with the hotel ambasssador who checks guests in via an iPad, their elegant rooms: Pullman style evoking historic train travel, Classic in inspirational Victorian style, and the contemporry Loft Rooms with exposed wood timbers and high vaulted ceilings.
Denver’s 120-year-old Union Station received an amazing $54 million transformation — one you have to see to believe, and then you’ll fall in love!
